Peco was built around the simple conviction that energy is the foundation of growth. They believe giving rural African communities sustainable access to useable energy will change the face of the continent. Their mission is simple and profound - energy freedom for all. Following years of relentless research, they now design and manufacture innovative and affordable solar power solutions that are robust enough for rural African conditions, requiring no expertise to install and use. Besides providing home and street lighting, refrigeration and hot meals, these power packs empower small businesses to grow and reach larger markets and children to use devices for remote learning.

The logo was designed four key ideas, as illustrated here. The last raised circlet in the logo is a simple allusion to the sun - that powers our planet, and Peco’s sustainable energy grids. Coupled with the “o”, it depicts a yellow sun shining above a blue earth. The earth is larger, true to a human, on-the-ground experience and perspective.
